Join us at our June meeting to hear Nicole DesOrmeaux's journey of politics and governance to opening her own consulting firm.

Nicole Davis DesOrmeaux is the founder and principal of DesOrmeaux Group. She is also the co-owner of The Chandelier Room, the newest and hottest event venue in Lafayette. She received her Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and has over 13 years of professional experience in communications, event planning, fundraising, design, budget administration, governance and policy work.

Prior to founding DesOrmeaux Group and The Chandelier Room, she worked for almost 8 years with the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, now known as One Acadiana. She also served as the Administrative Director of the Leadership Institute of Acadiana. Nicole is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette and was a recipient of the Top 20 under 40 Acadiana Leadership Awards. She received the Communications Excellence Award for the American Chamber of Commerce Executives and is a Graduate of the Dale Carnegie Training Academy.

Nicole is married to her high school sweetheart, Anthony and they have 2 kids Libby (9) Anderson (5 and a half). In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading biographies, dinner parties with friends, date nights with her husband, playing with her 2 children and 2 heelers and participating in Mardi Gras Kewe events.
