Julie Rabalais is a dedicated Avian Wildlife Rehabilitator, and the founder of For The Birds of Acadiana based in Lafayette, LA. After a successful early career in newspaper advertising design, and then over a decade of owning a local retail boutique, Rabalais opened For The Birds of Acadiana in 2020, driven by her passion for birds and wildlife conservation. With extensive training in avian care and rehabilitation, she has committed this chapter of her life to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned birds.
Each year, Rabalais sees an average of around 1,000 birds, providing crucial critical care and support. Her expertise in avian welfare combined with her commitment to conservation education and advocacy has positioned her as a respected leader in the field. Under her guidance, For The Birds of Acadiana has become a vital local resource for avian wildlife welfare, inspiring others through her unwavering dedication to protecting our feathered friends.
