Sara Crochet is an award-winning Cuban American filmmaker and photographer based in southern Louisiana. Her artistic practice delves into themes of identity, healing, and personal transformation, expressed through a richly blended media and storytelling techniques.
A graduate of UL Lafayette with a BA in Cinema Studies and a minor in Visual Arts, Sara’s work has earned international acclaim. Awarded Gold Prize in the 2018-2019 Nikon Photo Contest, her film “Exulansis” received top honors in the Short Film Category, and is featured in a traveling exhibition across Southern Asia and Europe.
Sara furthered her studies at the Nikon-NOOR Academy in Barcelona, Spain. She is currently an active member of LOUDHOUSE Art Collective, where her work pushes boundaries through innovative storytelling and artistic exploration.
In addition to her full-time role as a photographer and social media manager for Parish Brewing, Sara curates a vintage wearable-art business, Shop Mom’s Laundry, headquartered in Lafayette, LA.
