Mary DesOrmeaux is the regional business development officer of Community First Bank in Lafayette, also serving as the bank's assistant vice president at the Pinhook location. Although she has been in banking for 28 years, Mary describes herself as a "late bloomer," as she waited until after her children were older before entering the professional world.
Mary currently serves as president of the St. Martinville Chamber of Commerce, as a board member for the St. Martinville Rotary Club, and as treasurer for One Acadiana. She chairs the Live Nativity committee for St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church's Festival of Lights, and is the immediate past president of the St. Martinville Garden Club.
Passionate about rescuing the Historic Evangeline Oak and her daughter tree, Belle Marie, Mary devoted countless hours to saving these cultural icons of the Longfellow Poem, Evangeline.
