Join us at our May meeting to hear Meaghan Barbier's journey that led her to a calling for mission trips to Kenya, Africa.
Meaghan Allen Barbier is a 30-year-old wife, mom, and missionary to Kenya. She was born and raised in Shreveport, LA and is currently staying there while in the country on furlough. Meaghan graduated high school in 2006 and moved to Lafayette to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. While at ULL, she met her now husband, Kody. They have been married for five years now. After four years at ULL, she moved back to Shreveport where she finished her degree. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 2011. After graduation, she started working for an online marketing company. In 2014, Meaghan and Kody went on their first missions trip to Kenya. When they returned to the States, they decided to become missionaries to Kenya. She is currently a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. Since that first trip, the couple have gone on three additional trips totaling a year and a half spent in Kenya. In 2017, they spent eleven months in Kenya. Their ministry includes village outreach, school events, women's conferences, pastor's meetings, bible distribution, prison ministry, and orphanage work.
