In July of 2024, “Ambassador” Carol Trosclair traveled with Lafayette Mayor-President Monique Boulet’s cultural delegation to Namur, Belgium, reinforcing relationships dating back to 1979. It was a pivotal moment in fostering economic development and cultural exchange between the twin cities.

Many thanks to our November Speaker Sponsor:
By profession, Carol is a respected Petroleum Landman (or rather, “Landmam”). Some would say Carol has more energy than the energy industry itself! Her career path into an industry dominated by men continues to flourish with a track record of continual employment despite the ups and downs of the past 30 tumultuous years.
When her son accidentally passed away 14 years ago, Carol turned her grief into community service when the UL Lafayette Foundation created a scholarship in his memory to acknowledge his academic achievement and carry on his legacy. Funded by the annual “Vacationing for Scholarships” raffle, The David Trosclair Memorial Scholarship in Kinesiology has raised thousands of dollars, and, for many years now, has helped lighten the financial burden of numerous students.
Carol serves past and presently on various boards and organizations including the Extra Mile, the Oil Center Association Board, the Lafayette Public Library Foundation Board, the Keep Lafayette Beautiful Board, One Acadiana, Connections Professional Women’s Networking Organization, the Lafayette Association of Professional Landmen, the Desk & Derrick Club of Lafayette, Women’s Energy Network, Women of Wisdom (WOW), and Oilfield Christian Fellowship.
Honors include Acadiana Profile Magazine’s Acadiana Steel Magnolia, KLFY TV 10’s Remarkable Woman Award, the Women Who Mean Business Award, the Acadiana Community Hero Award, the Lafayette Public Library Foundation Award, the Connections Career Achievement Award, and most recently The Women of Excellence Award from the Lafayette Commission on the Needs of Women.
*RSVP Required. Registered Members and Guests will be seated before those not registered. In an effort to comply with Petroleum Club policy, Pay-At-The-Door will be allowed, but is not recommended.
